Dr. Gunna Bhagvanth Reddy is a highly accomplished Laparoscopic Surgeon and Surgical Gastroenterologist with over four decades of global medical experience. A native of Mahabubnagar, Telangana, Dr. Reddy completed his MBBS from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal in 1978, followed by an internship at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad. In pursuit of advanced surgical training, he moved to Jamaica in 1981, where he gained hands-on experience in General Surgery and its subspecialties. In 1985, he relocated to the United Kingdom and achieved his FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1987. He further enhanced his expertise while working in top hospitals across Ireland and the UK, eventually serving as a Consultant Surgeon in Ireland for nearly five years. Upon returning to India in 1995, Dr. Reddy worked at Medwin Hospital, Hyderabad, and later at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, where he served as a Laparoscopic Surgeon and Surgical Gastroenterologist until 2008. In 2009, he moved to Canada, where he continues to practice and contribute to surgical excellence. In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Reddy was conferred an honorary Fellowship (FRCS) by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2001. He has served as an Examiner and Surgical Tutor for MRCS and was also an Inspector for the National Board of Examinations, India, helping maintain high standards in postgraduate medical education.
